Anticipated Internships for School Social Worker, School Nurse, School Psychologist, and School Counselor

Thank you for your interest in the Pottsgrove School District!  We are located in southwestern Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, approximately 40 miles northwest of Philadelphia. Our District strength lies in strong community support for our schools, a dedicated staff, and an active student body.

To be considered and accepted to an internship at Pottsgrove the candidate must agree to work at an LEA located in Pennsylvania as a school nurse, school psychologist, school counselor, or school social worker for a minimum of 3 years following completion of the respective Educational Specialist Preparation Program. The successful candidate must possess clear communication skills, effective instructional talents, ability to create and monitor appropriate special education documents, and establish relationships with students, colleagues and families.

PA HELPS provides awards specific to each field, as detailed in the chart below. Additionally, interns must commit to work 3 years at a Pennsylvania LEA in their field upon completion of their respective Educational Specialist Preparation Program. After 3 years, the intern may be eligible to receive a commitment award.
