Brook Lane - Registered Nurse - Inpatient

Position Eligible for Additional $1.00/ hr. for Premium Shift Differential and Up to $30,000 Sign on Bonus!
Are you enthusiastic and passionate about caring for those with mental health needs? Brook Lane Health Services is a setting that provides inpatient care to patients in crisis. The hospital is 58 plus bed facility to meet the care needs of many mental health diagnoses.
What You’ll Do:
Our acute psychiatric hospital provides the most intensive level of care in a safe and therapeutic environment.
Provide Compassionate Care: The nursing staff provides medications, education, group settings and resources while providing a safe and structured environment for the patients served at Brook Lane.
Collaborate with Experts: Work with a diverse team of healthcare professionals to develop personalized care plans.
Skill Development: RNs must provide effective skills in communication and become knowledgeable in mental health illness, symptomology and medications.
Educate & Empower: Teach patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options, helping them feel supported and informed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education - ASN required. BSN Preferred.
Experience - Minimum of one year of experience in a hospital setting required.
Licensure/Certification - Specialty certification recognized by the Magnet Recognition Program™ preferred. Current license to practice as Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland, or if resident of a state that participates in Nurse Multi-State Compact agreement, holds Registered Nurse License from that state that is designated as "Compact" or "Multi-State Privilege" using primary source verification and provides additional documentation as required by the Maryland Board of Nursing. RN License from a compact state with a designation of "Single State" does not meet the requirement and nurse must obtain a Maryland license. CPI is mandatory for all clinical staff to be able to demonstrate safe skills in a safe manner.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - Ability to apply the standards of professional nursing practice with compassion and empathy. Basic computer skills required. Must possess high level of organization and communication skills.
