Role Overview

  • MBBS or MD CEO for leading hospital in Pakistan
  • Provide overall leadership, strategic direction and executive management for a large, mission-driven, multi-site healthcare network.
  • Ensure long-term sustainability, clinical excellence, operational efficiency and values-based growth across all facilities and programs.

Strategy & Transformation

  • Define and execute long-term organizational strategy aligned with mission and evolving healthcare needs.
  • Lead innovation in care delivery, public health, education, research and digital health integration.
  • Drive system-wide transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Operations & Performance

  • Oversee all clinical and non-clinical functions including operations, finance, human resources, infrastructure, IT and compliance.
  • Ensure regulatory, legal and accreditation compliance across multiple sites.
  • Embed a performance-oriented culture focused on quality, efficiency, patient safety and accountability.

Governance & Financial Stewardship

  • Act as the primary interface between the Board and executive leadership.
  • Ensure transparent reporting, strong governance practices, and effective decision-making.
  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, cost discipline, and responsible use of donor and philanthropic funds.

People & Culture

  • Lead executive succession planning and leadership development at all levels.
  • Build a diverse, engaged and mission-aligned leadership team.
  • Champion a culture of empathy, integrity, collaboration and continuous learning.

External Engagement & Partnerships

  • Represent the organization at national and international forums as required.
  • Strengthen relationships with government bodies, regulators, donors, academic institutions and global health partners.
  • Support fundraising initiatives, development campaigns and strategic public-private partnerships.

Candidate Profile

  • Medical degree (MBBS or MD) required; advanced clinical training preferred.
  • MBA, MHA, or equivalent postgraduate qualification strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of senior leadership experience within large healthcare systems, academic medical centers, or nonprofit health networks.
  • Proven experience managing complex, multi-site operations and leading large-scale organizational change.
  • Strong financial, fundraising, and stakeholder management capabilities, with exposure to low- and middle-income healthcare environments.
