Experience & Key Responsibilities:  

  • Assist the doctor chairside during pediatric dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques 
  • Prepare and sterilize instruments and operatories in accordance with OSHA and infection control standards 
  • Take and process digital dental radiographs 
  • Help create a calm, positive, and comfortable experience for pediatric patients 
  • Educate parents and patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and preventative treatment recommendations
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Previous dental assisting experience preferred; pediatric experience is a plus 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with both children and parents 
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment 
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, infection control, and sterilization procedures 
  • X-ray certification and coronal polishing certification preferred based on state requirements
