The Dentist provides comprehensive, culturally informed oral health care to eligible OAMS clients, including clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care. The role operates across clinic and outreach settings and works autonomously within scope while contributing to a multidisciplinary team.
Selection Criteria:
Bachelor of Dental Surgery (or equivalent) with eligibility for full registration
Current registration with AHPRA as a Dentist
Minimum 2 years’ clinical experience in general dentistry
Demonstrated competency across all aspects of general dental practice
Experience working in public health, community health, or Aboriginal health (desirable)
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Strong communication, interpersonal, and cultural competency skills
Experience in supervising or mentoring junior staff or students (desirable)
Understanding of infection control standards and accreditation requirements
Ability to manage clinical workload and meet service targets
