Description:

Join our growing outpatient pharmacy team! The full-time pharmacist position will provide grow our pharmacist float staff and support across the IU Health Retail Pharmacy Network. Schedule will primarily be based within Indianapolis area but may include shifts within other IU Health Retail locations across the state. When not scheduled to work on-site within one of our retail locations, the floater pharmacist will work within our closed-door call center located within Plainfield, IN providing remote support across the network.  

Team member will rotate through weekend shifts. Flexibility on days/shifts will be offered when available. Potential for remote work opportunity in the future. Reimbursement for mileage to be provided when floating outside of Indianapolis area. 

This position exists to provide comprehensive, value based, medication-related care to achieve definite outcomes that improve a patient's quality of life. The incumbent acts in collaboration with healthcare professionals in the shared responsibility for patient drug therapy outcomes. Key job duties may consist of ensuring safety and effectiveness of the medication use process, processing and dispensing medications per order or prescription, medication therapy monitoring, regulatory compliance, maintaining oversight over pharmacist extenders, maintaining the security of medications, and protecting the confidentiality of patient information. Additionally, is competent at providing drug information support for medical staff, ensuring continuity of care, and identifying potential challenges in common situations.

• Requires current Indiana License or eligibility for Indiana licensure as a pharmacist.
• Successful completion of an ASHP accredited PGY1 and/or PGY2 pharmacy residency may be required.
