Our client is seeking a licensed Psychologist with a strong commitment to providing high-quality mental health care in an institutional setting. This role is an essential part of a multidisciplinary team focused on promoting the well-being and rehabilitation of individuals in custody.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations, including clinical interviews and review of medical and mental health records.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and integrated treatment planning.
- Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessment and patient progress.
- Conduct regular mental health rounds in segregation or restrictive housing units to assess inmate adjustment and identify emergent needs.
- Provide individual counseling, crisis intervention, and conflict de-escalation strategies for inmates in distress.
- Apply evidence-based psychological theories and techniques to support behavioral health treatment and rehabilitation.
- Consult with facility staff to address behavioral concerns and changes in mental health status.
Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in Psychology from an accredited college or university.
- Current, unrestricted license to practice psychology in the state of employment.
- Minimum of two years of clinical experience, including at least one year in a comparable institutional or forensic setting.
- Valid driver's license required.
