Position Overview:
The Medical Receptionist plays a key role in creating a positive patient experience. This position involves greeting patients, managing the front desk, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and supporting the clinical team to ensure smooth daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Greet and check in patients with professionalism and a warm demeanor

Schedule and confirm patient appointments via phone, email, or text

Answer phone calls and assist with patient inquiries or direct them appropriately

Collect and verify patient insurance and billing information

Maintain accurate patient records in the practice management system

Handle front desk payments and process insurance claims

Coordinate with dental assistants, hygienists, and providers for daily schedules

Ensure the waiting area is tidy, welcoming, and compliant with safety standards

Respect patient privacy and maintain confidentiality at all times
Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required

Previous experience in a dental or medical office is a plus

Familiarity with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Open Dental, Eaglesoft) preferred
