Schedule: Full-Time, Days (M-F 7:30 am-4 pm)Position Overview: As a Cardiac Sonographer with the Heart Center, you will work alongside pediatric critical care medicine physicians and hospitalists. This role involves providing twenty-four-hour, in-house, and on-call coverage to ensure optimal care for patients with intensive care needs.
Responsibilities:
Perform echocardiogram tests by preparing and positioning patients, selecting appropriate imaging techniques, and ensuring high-quality images.
Enter and monitor patient data.
Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and escalate issues appropriately.
Perform quality assurance on equipment and assist with accreditation applications as needed.
Report any accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions to the Supervisor/Manager.
Participate in department performance improvement activities.
Take emergency calls within the department.
Ensure safe care for patients, staff, and visitors, adhering to all policies and procedures.
Promote professional growth and development through mandatory/continuing education and skills competency.
Support department goals and serve as a preceptor, mentor, and resource for less-experienced staff.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of Cardiac Sonography Technology,
Radiologic Technology, or Sonography Technology (preferred).
License/Certification:
Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support (required).
One of the following certifications (required):
Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International.
Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International.
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
Experience/Skills:
Ability to lift and maneuver patients with assistance.

CANDIDATES MUST HAVE
-Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support, required

(RCCS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International or a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
-Pediatric echo experience (looking for 6 months minimum pediatric experience)
