Responsibilities
- Conduct Physical Therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Implement therapeutic exercises and evidence-based interventions.
- Monitor and document patient progress.
- Educate patients and families on exercises and mobility strategies.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team for coordinated patient care.
- Deliver therapeutic exercises, gait training, and functional activities.
- Assist patients during sessions and ensure safety.
- Document progress and communicate with the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Educate patients and caregivers on home programs.
- Operate therapy equipment during treatments.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from a Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education accredited program.
- Active physical therapist license in Florida or Tennessee and successful completion of the National Physical Therapy Examination.
- Strong communication and clinical skills.
- Commitment to continuing education (for example, 30 continuing education hours every two years).
- Associate Degree from a Physical Therapist Assistant program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education.
- Active physical therapist assistant license in Florida or Tennessee with National Physical Therapy Examination completion.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work under licensed physical therapist supervision.
- Compliance with state supervision regulations in Florida or Tennessee.
