We’re currently looking for a licensed psychologist to lead our autism evaluation services, which will be your primary focus. You’ll have a pivotal role in helping families receive timely, compassionate diagnostic services so they can take the next steps in their journey.

You can be local to the Maryland/DC area or work remotely, as long as you are licensed to practice in Maryland. Assessments can be completed virtually or in-person, based on client needs and your preference.

Qualifications
Doctorate in Psychology from an accredited institution
Licensed Psychologist in the state of Maryland (required for remote or local work)
Experience conducting autism evaluations using standardized diagnostic tools
Strong report-writing skills, with the ability to deliver strength-based, comprehensive evaluation summaries
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, especially when working with children and families
Culturally competent and experienced with diverse populations
Ability to work independently and manage your own assessment caseload
Comfortable with remote technology and telehealth platforms (for remote positions)
Must pass a background check
Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply

Our focus at Growing Minds is on developing pivotal skills for our clients that will lead to learning through a variety of both structured and child-led activities. Our primary goal is to increase the functioning of each client. We focus on four pivotal areas: Motivation, response to multiple cues, self-management, and initiation of social interactions. Sessions occur in a variety of settings which can include home, school and community settings.

Through empowering parents with knowledge of managing behaviors and increasing skills our focus is to increase social awareness, independence, communication and play all while having fun!
