Summary

Make a lasting impact on patient care with your expertise in vascular imaging. As a Vascular Technologist at Grady, you’ll play a critical role in diagnosing and treating vascular conditions by producing high-quality diagnostic images that guide patient care. You’ll work with advanced duplex ultrasound and plethysmographic equipment, applying non-invasive arterial pressure techniques to deliver accurate, timely results. In this role, your ability to act quickly and compassionately ensures patient safety and provides our physicians with the vital information they need to make life-changing decisions.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform vascular ultrasound studies in multiple body planes with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Operate duplex ultrasound and plethysmographic instruments, as well as non-invasive arterial pressure measurement equipment.
  • Assess image quality and prepare detailed findings for physician interpretation.
  • Deliver essential patient care during imaging procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Recognize patient conditions requiring urgent action and respond appropriately.
  • Maintain proficiency with PACS and EPIC systems to document and manage studies.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Successful completion of an accredited vascular program approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Vascular Sonographer.
  • Current ARDMS registration and BLS certification required.
  • Must be a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in PACS/EPIC systems.
