X-Ray Technologist (Per Diem / Part-Time)
Interventional Spine & Pain Management Practice
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Florida-certified X-ray Technologist to support interventional spine and pain management procedures in an outpatient clinical setting. This role is critical to the safe and efficient operation of fluoroscopy-guided procedures, ensuring high standards of patient care, radiation safety, and procedural flow.
This position is ideal for an experienced technologist comfortable working closely with a physician in a small, high-performance practice environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate fluoroscopy (C-arm) equipment during interventional spine and pain procedures (e.g., epidural steroid injections, medial branch blocks, radiofrequency ablation).
- Prepare and position patients appropriately for procedures, ensuring comfort, safety, and proper imaging.
- Maintain strict radiation safety protocols in compliance with Florida regulations and best practices.
- Perform equipment checks, calibration, and basic troubleshooting of imaging equipment.
- Assist with room setup and turnover for procedures.
- Ensure proper documentation of imaging and procedural support as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant procedure room environment.
- Collaborate closely with the physician and clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow.
- Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, and all applicable state and federal regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Active Florida Radiologic Technologist license (ARRT-certified and Florida DOH licensed).
- Fluoroscopy experience required.
- Current BLS certification.
- Strong understanding of radiation safety and ALARA principles.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in a small practice setting.
- Professional demeanor with excellent patient interaction skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in interventional pain, spine, orthopedic, or surgical settings.
- Experience with GE or similar C-arm systems.
- Familiarity with outpatient or office-based procedural workflows.
Schedule & Employment Type
- Per diem / part-time (flexible, based on availability and clinic needs)
- Daytime hours only (no nights, weekends, or call)
Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
