JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Licenses: Active Maryland license (IMLC considered)
• Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiac or both Cardiac and Thoracic Surgery
• DEA: Active DEA Certification required
• Certifications: None specified
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty
• Other Qualifications: CSR license required
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide cardiothoracic surgical coverage with emphasis on bypass surgery
• Round with PA in the morning and address any clinical needs
• Remain available for urgent and emergent procedures with 30-minute response time
• Supervise and collaborate with APPs handling consults and calls
• Perform open heart, carotid, and select lung cases
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Meditech EMR
