Qualifications
Required Education: - Associate degree in nursing
Preferred Education: - Bachelor's degree in nursing
Required Experience: - Five (5) years job related experience
- Human Resources (HR) may accept post-associate degree nursing education in lieu of required experience on a 1-year: 1-year basis.
Preferred Experience: - Cardiology Nursing
- Five (5) or more years job related experience (including statistical processes, quality improvement, and data analysis).
- Strong knowledge of the Microsoft (MS) Office applications suite (e.g., Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Knowledge of regulatory standards (e.g., state laws, The Joint Commission (TJC) standards, and participation conditions).
Required Certification/License/Registry: - Licensed as a registered nurse (RN) in accordance with Florida Statutes (FS), Title XXXII (Regulation of Professions and Occupations), Chapter 464 (Nursing), Part I (Nurse Practice Act) includes multistate compact licensure
Responsibilities
RN Improvement Advisor for the Cardiovascular Service Line plays a vital role in advancing quality, safety, and performance outcomes across cardiac care.
This position serves as a clinical leader and change agent, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support evidence-based practices and improve outcomes in key areas such as AMI, CABG, HF, mortalities, and readmissions.
Your Role: - Is dedicated to helping to identify, plan, and execute improvement projects by an internal consultant providing support necessary to deliver results and spread changes.
- Functions as a change agent, collaborating with staff to drive continuous, rapid performance improvement.
- Provides skills, knowledge, and expertise in performance improvement tools and techniques.
- Working with an operational or administrative leader, supports and facilitates change that leads to improvement.
