Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

Type: Hospital-based - Level 1 Trauma Center
Position Overview
Schedule: Full-time, 4x10s (10 AM - 8:30 PM, -hour lunch)
Must be available 4 weeks per month
Patient Volume: 1-9 per day
Patient Population: All ages (No Neonatal)
Setting: Hospital; CRNA will cover Ortho, Trauma, Vascular, Neuro (No Heart)
Department Description:
CRNAs are medically directed (typically 2:1 or 3:1)
General ratio: 1 Anesthesiologist : 2-4 CRNAs (depending on acuity)
Attendings often paired with Residents; primary focus is resident supervision/teaching
Support Staff: CRNAs, Anesthesia Techs, Anesthesiologists
EMR: Epic
All providers will also be required to work NORA
Clinical Requirements
Procedures: Intubation, Central line, Arterial line, Line placement
Not required: Blocks, OB
Minimum Experience: 1+ year (No new grads)
Requirements
Board Certification: NBCRNA - Required
Active KY License - Required, but facility is willing to license
BLS, ACLS Required
Credentialing timeframe: 90 days
