- Other Details: A Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) is needed starting in December for ongoing extended coverage, supervised by an anesthesiologist. The schedule includes shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with limited consideration for 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with options for 10- or 12-hour shifts, no call required, and opportunities to pick up additional shifts if desired. The role involves coverage across 24 main ORs, 8 in the ambulatory center, 4 GI sites, EP labs, cath lab, interventional radiology, and occasional MRI and bronch procedures, with an average of 55 cases per day in the main hospital, 30 in ASC, 40 in GI, and 10 at other sites. Responsibilities include adult general surgical cases, plexus and minor nerve blocks, ventilation management, neurosurgical cases, and administration of regional, epidural, and spinal anesthesia. Patients of all ages are seen, though CRNAs typically do not manage patients under 2 years old. Candidates must be board certified with ACLS and BLS, hold or be willing to obtain an Illinois license, and be local providers, as only mileage is reimbursed.
