Facility: Hospital - Level I Trauma Center
Practice Setting: Inpatient / Hospital-based

• Start Date: December 2025

• Contract Length: Ongoing - extended coverage expected

• Shift Hours:

• 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM

• 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

• (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM may be considered, less likely)

• Schedule: Monday-Friday, no call required

• Extra Shifts: Locums may pick up additional shifts if desired

• Reason for Coverage: Recruiting new hires

  Clinical Details

  • Average Case Volume:

  • 55/day - Main OR

  • 30/day - ASC

  • 40/day - GI

  • 10/day - Other off-site locations

• OR Staff: Highly trained, collaborative, supportive, engaging

• OR Capacity:

• 24 ORs - Main Hospital

• 8 ORs - Ambulatory Surgery Center

• 2 ORs - Labor & Delivery (not staffed by CRNAs)

• 4 GI Lab sites

• 1 Bronch Lab (2x per week)

• 1 MRI (1x per week)

• 2 EP Labs (5 days per week)

• 1 Cath Lab (intermittent)

• 1 Interventional Radiology

• Patient Demographics: All ages (typically not under age 2)

• EMR System: Epic

• Supervision: CRNA supervised by MD/DO anesthesiologists

  Procedures & Skills Required

  • General Surgical (Adult)

  • Plexus Anesthesia (limited)

  • Minor Nerve Blocks

  • Regional Anesthesia

  • Spinal Anesthesia

  • Epidural Anesthesia

  • Neurosurgical Cases

  • Ventilation Management (OR only)

  Licensing & Credentialing Requirements

  • License: Illinois license required (willing to accept those needing to obtain license)

  • Board Certification: Required

  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS - Required

  • Estimated Credentialing: 90-120 days

  • Local Providers Only

  Pay Rate

  • Competitive locum tenens compensation
