Job Overview Join a collaborative anesthesia team as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist providing safe, compassionate anesthesia services across diverse surgical cases. Key Responsibilities Select and administer anesthesia techniques, medications, and adjunct drugs across surgical specialties Perform comprehensive patient chart reviews, assessments, and anesthesia care planning Execute advanced procedures including intubation, extubation, invasive monitoring, and emergency response (CPR) Collaborate effectively with physicians, surgeons, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams Ensure patient safety through vigilant monitoring and accurate clinical documentation Maintain equipment readiness and perform safety checks for anesthesia delivery systems Provide pre/post-operative patient education and care coordination Must-Have Requirements Current Alabama RN license with active registration Graduate of accredited School of Nurse Anesthesia program NBCRNA certification (initial certification and ongoing recertification) Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS required Clinical competency with anesthesia equipment, pharmaceuticals, and monitoring devices Strong communication and teamwork skills for interdisciplinary collaboration Critical thinking and emergency response capabilities Compensation & Benefits: Competitive hourly pay ($75.73-$115.00) based on experience $45,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates $8,000 relocation assistance available Career advancement in multi-hospital system Stability of established not-for-profit organization New graduates welcomed and supported Tuscaloosa Location: Vibrant college town with affordable cost of living Rich cultural amenities and family-friendly neighborhoods Just one hour from Birmingham Access to University of Alabama resources and events
