Position Overview

A Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) is needed for full-time locum tenens coverage at a Level I trauma hospital in Columbia, South Carolina. The CRNA will support anesthesia services across inpatient, outpatient, and non-OR anesthesia (NORA) settings under a 100% medical direction model. This position is structured as an all-inclusive rate-travel, lodging, and expenses are included in the hourly compensation.

Assignment Highlights
  • Schedule: 8- or 10-hour shifts, Monday-Friday; full-time coverage

  • Call: One (1) weekend day every 12 weeks (low frequency)

  • Patient Census: 100 cases/day

  • Patient Population: Neonates through geriatrics (must be comfortable with healthy peds age 2+)

  • Procedures: 16 NORA sites including GI, Specials, MRI, EP, Cath Lab

  • Department: Level I trauma center with full pediatric hospital coverage

  • Support Staff: Adequate anesthesia techs and anesthesiologist coverage

  • EMR: Epic (experience required)

  • Travel & Lodging: Included in the rate (all-inclusive)

Skills & Experience
  • Board Certification: NBCRNA (required)

  • South Carolina License (active, required; not open to licensing)

  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS (all required)

  • Experience: 2+ years required; Level I trauma preferred

  • Must be able to manage cases for pediatric patients age 2+ and healthy through geriatrics

  • Epic EMR experience required
