At Community Minds, we are dedicated to providing compassionate and high-quality mental health care to individuals of all ages. We are seeking a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team in an outpatient setting, offering a flexible, hybrid model of care. This role allows you to provide specialized psychiatric care to children and adolescents while maintaining a work-life balance with a flexible schedule.

As a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist at Community Mind, you will play a key role in diagnosing and treating mental health conditions in young patients, collaborating closely with families, and working with a multidisciplinary team of professionals. You will have the opportunity to work in a supportive and innovative environment with a focus on delivering evidence-based treatments, improving patient outcomes, and contributing to the growth of our dynamic mental health services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and Treat: Provide psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and treatment plans for children and adolescents dealing with a range of mental health disorders, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, and more.

  • Medication Management: Prescribe, monitor, and manage psychiatric medications as part of treatment plans, ensuring safe and effective use.

  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other clinicians, including therapists, social workers, and medical professionals, to provide holistic and integrated care.

  • Family Involvement: Engage with families and caregivers to educate, offer guidance, and provide support as part of the treatment process.

  • Hybrid Model: Provide both in-person and telepsychiatry services, offering flexible scheduling to meet patient needs while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with all HIPAA regulations and best practices for clinical documentation.

  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest evidence-based practices, treatments, and tools for child and adolescent psychiatry.

  • Cultural Competence: Provide culturally sensitive care that meets the needs of diverse patient populations and fosters an inclusive environment.



Requirements


Qualifications:

  • Education & Licensing:
    • MD or DO with board certification in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
    • Valid state medical license (or the ability to obtain one) in the state where you will practice.
  • Experience:
    • At least 3 years of experience working with children and adolescents in an outpatient psychiatric setting.
    • Experience with a range of psychiatric disorders, including mood, anxiety, ADHD, and behavioral issues.
  • Skills:
    • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based treatments for child and adolescent psychiatry.
    • Experience with telemedicine or willingness to embrace hybrid/remote work models.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
    • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to interact with children, families, and other healthcare providers.
