Critical Care NPs/PAs needed in Massachusetts

• Support staff: 4 APPs on staff who are supervised. MD supervises during day shift; fellow/attending supervises during night shifts. Some independence is good.
• Coverage Type: 6a-7p, 6p-7a. Needs weekends and holidays through March 31, 2026. Fri nights count as a weekend. Ideally local providers who can stay in town.

• Avg. Daily Census: 7
• Beds: 7 will be expanding to 10 by January
• Patient Age Group: Adult
• Procedures: bread and butter ICU and Med Surg. There is 1 to 2 burn patients. No intubations, no lines, no vents, no transplants, no ECHO, no heads, no EVD, no complex neuro stroke. The APPs are responding clinicians only. No procedures.

Requirements:
• Board Certifications Req d in Acute Care with the ICU experience
• State License(s): MA. No NPs that need a license. It takes too long 8-12 weeks. Only PAs would be considered. If they are PAs it takes 3- 5 weeks. They must apply before client can initiate the appointment.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS
• DEA Req d?: yes
• Years of Experience Req d: 2+ years in critical care

Credentialing Timeframe: 60-90 days
Willing To License?: only if they are PAs

Additional info: Typical Day: APP will round with Attending in the morning, complete tasks and round again in the afternoon. This Locum need is for an APP acting as a responding clinician . There is no billing done for APPs.

Travel: no travel. This job is better for local candidates who can take train/subway/ drive in.
Overtime: any hour worked beyond 40 per week
