Critical Care/Trauma Physician Assistant

A rewarding opportunity awaits an experienced Physician Assistant specializing in Critical Care within a high-acuity ICU setting. Engage in advanced cardiac care, including the management of VA & VV ECMO, Impella, LVAD, and cardiac transplant procedures. This locum tenens position offers flexible, rotating 13-hour shifts, encompassing nights, weekends, and holidays, through March 2026.

Key Details- Assignment Type: Locum Tenens- Setting: Hospital- Start Date: ASAP- Schedule: Three 13-hour shifts per week (7:00 AM - 8:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 8:00 AM), includes nights, weekends, and holidays- Patient Population: Adult- Location: Hershey, PA- Stipends: Housing and travel options can be discussed for non-local candidates

Job Responsibilities- Manage high-volume HVI CCU patients under the guidance of Intensivist- Perform daily rounds, patient management, and order entry- Handle admissions, postoperative management, and perform procedures (arterial lines, central lines, IABP removal)

Qualifications- Board certified Physician Assistant- Certification in ACLS and BLS required- Minimum board certification required

Working Hours- Three 13-hour shifts per week (inclusive of nights, weekends, and holidays)- Lunch breaks not included in work hours

Skills- Proficiency in management of critical care cardiac patients- Effective communication and teamwork within a trauma level 1 facility- Competence with EMR systems and adhering to policy and procedural protocols
