Bluestem Health dental clinic is a paperless office with Electronic dental records and Dexis digital radiography. We do all phases of dentistry. We serve diverse patient population ranging from preschoolers to elderly. We are looking for a caring and compassionate dental hygienist to join our team dedicated to quality care.


The Dental Hygienist provides oral health care in an outpatient clinical setting. This position performs dental prophylactic services and provides educational information for prevention and control of dental disease. This position is responsible for cleaning and care of teeth as well as teaching proper care of teeth and gums.

The Dental Hygienist must possess the ability to work and interact effectively and positively with other staff members to build and enhance teamwork in the clinic and in the organization. This position requires individual flexibility, initiative and the ability to handle several complex tasks at once.


Duties include, but are not limited to:

  1. Greets patients
  2. Assists the dentist with quality patient care.
  3. Ensures patient confidentiality and provides patients with needed information.
  4. Review patient’s oral history and keep accurate records, update as needed.
  5. Provides teeth cleaning services for the patient.
  6. Takes dental x-rays, following all required procedures.
  7. Apply fluorides and sealants to teeth as needed.
  8. Educates patients on proper dental care, including brushing and flossing techniques.
  9. Performs other duties required by the Dentist to meet the goal of providing primary health care.
  10. Performs other necessary duties as required by Bluestem Health to achieve the goal of providing primary health care services.
Requirements

Licensed to practice as a dental hygienist in the state of NE, basic life support certification, and 1 year of experience preferred (but not required).

Salary Description
$42/hr-$47/hr
