MHHS Description: Minnie Hamilton Health System (MHHS) is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that owns and operates a Critical Access Hospital with 18 Acute Care/Swing Beds, 24 Long Term Care (Nursing Home) Beds, Emergency Department, Rural Health Clinic, Primary Care practices, and a Dental practice, serving nearly 20,000 residents in central WV.
Job Duties:
Maintain overall dental care responsibility for the management of dental services to each patient. Performs quality clinical and radiographic evaluations to diagnose and treat diseases of the oral cavity. Promotes oral health by providing educational information on all phases of preventive and restorative dentistry and oral hygiene. Perform all dental assessments, radiographic exams, and dental treatment, to include emergency treatment such as oral surgery, restorative dentistry and periodontal therapy within the scope of general dentistry. Formulate a working diagnosis, develop and implement a treatment plan and evaluate/modify therapeutic regimens to promote positive patient outcomes. Participate in training and orientation of healthcare staff. Supervise and coach dental assistants. Supervise sterilization and disinfection of equipment
Specific Requirements:
West Virginia Dental license. Graduation from an accredited Dental school program, completion of National Dental Board Examination and State Law Examination. Must successfully complete 90 day orientation with a satisfactory 90 day performance evaluation. Maintain current HIPAA training and CPR certification as well as continuing education requirements. Well organized and able to transfer information accurately in a friendly and courteous manner in dealing with the public.
