Job Summary:

The Distribution Pharmacist participates in and oversees the dispensing of medication in accordance with federal and state regulations as well as Anovo Specialty Pharmacy policy. They are responsible for ensuring the correct medication is appropriately picked, checked, packed in appropriate packout, shipped to the patients, and perform all duties associated with the dispensing of medication. Primary Duties and Responsibilities

1. Has oversight of dispensing, pharmacy operations, and pharmacy personnel (technicians, and other pharmacy associates.)

2. Pharmacists working within Distribution will have direct supervision of medication preparation and dispensing,

3. Serves as backup to the PIC.

4. Complies with FDA mandates and self-imposed manufacturer restrictions.

5. Procures and maintains all required documentation in accordance with federal and state regulations as well as β€˜AnovoRx’ policy.

6. Dispenses pharmaceuticals including biotech drugs and other related items for patients with rare diseases.

7. Provides drug information, adheres to state/federal licensure requirements/regulations, and maintains required paperwork as directed.

8. Participates in Continuing Quality/Improvement program and ensures that pharmacies are in compliance with all standards.

9. When AnovoRx has written agreements with manufacturers for pharmacovigilance services, then as to such services: participates in training as required, receives reporters’ call concerning adverse events, product complaints and medical inquiries, completes the submission to the manufacturer and manufacturer designated partners, assists with follow-up as required.

10. Always maintain patient confidentiality.

11. Maintains regulatory requirements, including all federal, state, local regulations, and accrediting organization standards.

12. Wears identification while on duty.

13. Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner.

14. Regular and reliable attendance expected.

15. Other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.

Minimum Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills Required

1. Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Graduate degree from an accredited school of pharmacy and 1+ years of pharmacy experience required.

2. Must possess a current unrestricted license or registration/certification in the required state(s) of practice, as required by law, and must be evidenced.

3. Must be willing and able to work any dedicated 8-hour AnovoRx shift between the hours of 7am-7pm.

4. Must be willing and able to cover on-call rotation as needed.

5. Must present professionally on the phone and in person.

6. Must articulate thoughts well and communicate them clearly, both verbally and in writing.

7. Physical requirements: must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.

8. Adept at handling sensitive and confidential situations.
