A partner hospital in Islamorada, FL, is looking for a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join their dynamic and dedicated team. This AAHA-accredited hospital is fully equipped with digital full-body radiology, digital dental radiology, ultrasound, surgical laser, and cold/therapy laser, providing excellent support for high-quality patient care. Located in the beautiful Florida Keys, between Key Largo and Marathon, this is a great opportunity for a veterinarian to work in a thriving community and a beautiful location.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comprehensive Patient Care: Perform physical examinations, diagnostic tests, and surgeries, including anesthesia management.
  • Client Education: Communicate effectively with clients about treatment options, diagnostic results, and preventive care.
  • Collaborate with Team: Work alongside other veterinarians, technicians, and support staff in a collaborative, team-based environment.
  • Support Staff Development: Mentor and encourage the growth of support staff through the LevelUp training program.
  • Manage Varying Caseloads: Provide care for a range of cases, from routine checkups to more complex surgical procedures and treatments.

 

Qualifications:

  • DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited college (or successful completion of the ECFVG or PAVE program).
  • Active license in good standing to practice in the state of Florida (or ability to obtain).
  • Strong communication skills with an emphasis on compassionate client interactions.
  • A collaborative mindset with a dedication to teamwork.
  • Passionate about veterinary medicine and committed to professional development.
