Job Title: Locum Physician - Emergency Medicine

Join a dedicated team at the Gallipolis facility located in Ohio. This emergency medicine position offers a dynamic environment with a focus on night and weekend shifts. The facility is equipped to handle a diverse patient volume, currently serving approximately 20,000 visits a year, with 11 total beds and a fast track in the emergency department. Our providers enjoy a supportive atmosphere while ensuring high-quality patient care.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide emergency medical care to patients during night shifts and weekends.
• Oversee and collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
• Write orders for admissions and coordinate with various consultants including Radiologists and Specialists.
• Manage ED patient admissions, with approximately 17% being admitted to the hospital.
• Utilize EMR systems, specifically All Scripts/Paragon, for efficient patient documentation.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABMS/AOA IM/FM).
• Two or more years of recent experience in emergency medicine.
• Must possess excellent clinical decision-making and leadership skills.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Current Ohio State Medical License (or IMLC with proof of License of Qualification).
• ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS certifications are required.
• Current COVID Vaccination status is mandatory.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification is required.
