- ACLS, ATLS & PALS are all required if not EM board certified. Must be maintained as current at all times
- If EM board certified - must have an ATLS on file - it does not have to be current
- 22,000 annual ER volume
- 2 patients per hour
- Physician shift times: 7a-7p; 7p-7a
- APP shift times: 9a-9p
- 17 ED beds
- 100 hospital beds
- Trauma level 4-trauma goes to University of Iowa
- EM physicians do not do admissions
- EM physicians responds to codes
- 20% admission rate
- Backup specialties: Urology, general surgery, orthopedic surgery, G.I., peds
- No scribes
- Cerner
