Family Practice - Without OB Physician

We are seeking a family medicine physician with rural medicine experience to support an open position. This locum role includes both inpatient and emergency medicine coverage.
The community is located in a historical town in Montana, you'll likely see wild horses roaming nearby, and you'll have exceptional access to outdoor activities such as fishing, rafting, and hiking. This is an ideal opportunity for a Physician looking to practice in a rewarding clinical environment. It is just the right amount of part-time work to keep you clinically active or supplement another part-time position.

Location: Northwest Montana
Job Type: 1099 Locum Tenens Contract
Date Range: September November 2025 (potential to extend).
Compensation: Hourly Rate

Key Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts (days). One week/ month
• Compensation Details: $180.00 hourly rate

Responsibilities:

• Patient Volume, Inpatient: Averages 7-10
• Patient Volume, ER: Averages 8
• On-Call Details: Provides support via phone call to PAs on the night shift

Position Requirements:

• Active Montana State Physician (MD) license
• Active BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS
• Active DEA registration
• Minimum 2-years of solo full-spectrum CAH emergency experience
• Inpatient experience
• Must be able to work independently
• Must be willing to provide support via phone call to PAs on the night shift
• Direct experience with medevac and patient care stabilization including intubations, chest tubes, and complicated airways; must have strong suturing skills
