Treatment and Care for Women s Health Conditions
Our experts are committed to improving the health of women and babies and transforming their medical care. Our physicians provide multidisciplinary, integrated clinical services based on leading research on women s health and gender-specific care.
We offer routine care for breast health, bone health, cancer care, obstetrics and gynecology, infertility, internal medicine, maternal-fetal medicine, mental health, menopause and midlife, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, neurology, newborn medicine, and primary care, among other specialties.
Our WVU Cancer Institute is composed of a multidisciplinary care center in Morgantown, WV (Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center (MBRCC as well as 17 regional sites across the state of WV and surrounding regions. MBRCC is one of the country's premier cancer treatment centers. We are a quaternary cancer center holding the state's only Transplant and Cellular Therapy (TCT) program, and the only Hyperthermic Intraoperative Peritoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC) program, to name a few unique services. The growth of the Institute is driven by a mission to connect patients in all areas of the state and region with a broader team of cancer specialists. Our growth is centered on five common themes: clinical enterprise and advancement; statewide cancer prevention, control, and outreach; research; and education.

Hazel Ruby McQuain Comprehensive Cancer Hospital and NCI designation. With the most recent $50-million-dollar donation to the health system, we can begin the building of our new Hazel Ruby McQuain Comprehensive Cancer Hospital of the WVU Cancer Institute. This will be multiple level facilities that will include inpatient surgical suites, procedural rooms, inpatient rooms for those requiring overnight or extended stays, outpatient clinics, dining services, an outpatient pharmacy, and so much more.
Meet the Chair
Brian Casey, MD, joined the WVU Medicine team in March 2024. Dr. Casey came with an extensive background in high-quality healthcare and a commitment to improving care for women in West Virginia and beyond.
Casey joined WVU Medicine from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he held numerous leadership roles, including the vice chair of Obstetrics, division director of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, assistant program director of the MFM Fellowship, alternate principal investigator for the?Eunice Kennedy-Shriver?National Institute of Child Health and Human Development Maternal-Fetal Medicine Units Network, and interim director of the Obstetric Medical Complications Clinic.
Before his time in Alabama, Casey served as MFM division director, MFM fellowship director at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, principal investigator for the Dallas MFMU Network site, and chief of Obstetrics for Parkland Health and Hospital System in Texas. He also serves as an editor of?Williams Obstetrics.
Casey completed his fellowship in MFM at UT Southwestern/Parkland Health and Hospital System in Dallas and his residency at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey. He received his medical degree from the Temple University School of Medicine.
