A well-established clinical lab is seeking a skilled Histotechnician to join their anatomic pathology team. This role plays a critical part in preparing high-quality tissue specimens for diagnostic evaluation.
Key Responsibilities:Perform embedding and microtomy on a variety of tissue types
Follow all protocols for paraffin-embedded tissue processing
Carry out special stains and immunohistochemistry (IHC) procedures as directed
Maintain clean and organized workstations, solutions, and reagents
Assist with case assembly, distribution, slide/block filing, and hazardous waste handling
Contribute to quality assurance efforts and maintain documentation
Ensure compliance with lab safety protocols and company privacy/security policies
High school diploma or GED required
Completion of formal histology training or documented on-the-job training
Minimum 1 year of hands-on histology lab experience, especially in embedding and/or microtomy
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Commitment to maintaining quality, safety, and regulatory standards
