Hospitalist

Under indirect supervision, provides and manages direct medical evaluation, diagnosis, procedures, and care for patients within a recognized area of practice or for a specified patient population. They lead the medical team and coordinate care for inpatients. They may examine individuals as they're admitted, ordering x-rays, diagnostic tests, and other lab work; they'll also analyze test results, order treatments and medical services, and prescribe medications.

Essential Key Job Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, or provide continuous care to hospital inpatients.
• Prescribe Medications or treatment regimens to hospital inpatients.
• Order or interpret the results of test such as laboratory tests or x-rays.
• Conduct discharge planning and discharge patients.

Education, Training, and Experience

• MD or DO degree
• Board certified/board eligible
• Ability to obtain an active medical license in state of Tennessee and/or Georgia
• AHA BLS certification

CHI Memorial in Chattanooga, TN is searching for a highly qualified, board certified or board eligible Internal Medicine Hospitalist to join our Hospital Employed Group of 87+ physicians and APP's across 3 hospitals.

• 7 on /7 off shifts, 7a - 7p, Tuesday to Monday
• Physician swing shift coverage until midnight
• No Peds, OB, or Trauma
• No codes Rapid Response Team
