TinkBird Healthcare Staffing is actively seeking a board-certified Family Medicine/Internal Medicine Hospitalist to help provide locums coverage. with our DIRECT client in Roanoke Rapids, NC.

Must have an ACTIVE NC license and 2+ years of experience as a Family/Internal Medicine Hospitalist
Schedule:
Sunday 8a-4p
Monday/Tuesday 8a-8p
Coverage Dates:
Days 7a-7p (Credentialed only for August dates)
August 15
August 16
August 18
August 20
August 21
September 15
September 30

December 19
December 22
December 23

Nights 7p-7a(Credentialed only for August dates)

Highlights include:
Opportunity to work within a well-established healthcare system
Inpatient only
Call schedule: Day shift physicians rotate admission among themselves in morning and afternoon blocks. Any night call and/or admissions are covered by the physician working from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
EHR is EPIC
ACLS certification required (AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION)
The team includes 11 physicians.
Avg # of patients/day/provider: 15
Avg # of admissions/day: 2-3/provider
Avg # of admissions/night: 4-6
Responsible for ICU/Critical Care duties
We have a critical care physician that assists with ICU patients during morning hours and Tele ICU Service in the afternoon and weekends to assist with care of critically ill patients
Keeps stroke and brain bleeds after consulting with Neurology and a Neurosurgeon (Tele Neurology service to assist with Neurology cases)
Traditional and interdisciplinary rounding, consults, admissions, management of vent patients in ICU is preferred; procedures are optional. Cardiology, orthopedics, nephrology, general surgery, urology, infectious disease and psychiatry specialists are available locally.
