About the Role:
Join our team at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center as an Inpatient Transplant Advanced Practice Provider (NP)! You'll play a vital role in delivering expert care to patients undergoing kidney & liver transplants and HPB surgeries. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Provide specialized care, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
- Postoperative Management: Monitor recovery, manage pain, and identify complications.
- Medication Management: Prescribe and adjust immunosuppressant medications.
- Patient Education: Educate patients & families on pre/post-transplant care.
- Team Collaboration: Work with surgeons, hepatologists, nephrologists, and nurses.
- Treatment Planning: Participate in case conferences and team meetings.
- Quality Improvement: Engage in initiatives to enhance program effectiveness.
- Patient Advocacy: Address patient concerns and ensure their voices are heard.
- Compliance: Adhere to all regulations and institutional policies.
Qualifications:
- APRN with valid state license and certification.
- Minimum 1 year (3 years preferred) experience in transplantation, nephrology, surgery, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of kidney transplant procedures, post-op management, and immunosuppressive therapy.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Empathetic, patient-centered approach.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to continuous learning.
Working Environment:
- Inpatient hospital setting.
- May participate in outpatient clinics as needed.
