Job Opportunity: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine

Join a dedicated team providing supportive care for our nation's Veterans! This position offers an engaging environment where you'll conduct Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments, helping those who have served our country. Located in Texas, you'll have the chance to work in a variety of settings, making a meaningful impact in the lives of Veterans.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Conduct one-time non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments.
  • Perform interview-based assessments and some physical evaluations, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
  • Complete reports and any necessary addendums based on the assessments conducted.
  • Work on a PRN basis, with flexibility to choose half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) shifts.
  • Utilize your own office space to conduct evaluations.
  • Collaborate with a supportive team and contribute to the overall health of Veterans.
Qualifications:
  • Proficient in METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular issues.
  • Hold an active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Texas.
  • Certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
  • Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine is preferred.
  • Must be willing to complete DMA training for certification.
  • Possess a laptop (non-Mac) for documentation purposes.
License and Certification Requirements:
  • Active Nurse Practitioner license in Texas.
  • AANP certification required.
  • DMA certification or willingness to complete DMA training.
