Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner

Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine, Kentucky

Join a dedicated team providing essential health evaluations for our nation's veterans. Located in the heart of Kentucky, this opportunity allows you to work closely with Veterans Evaluation Services, a respected government contractor specializing in Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-time, non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
• Perform primarily interview-based evaluations, with some physical assessments including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for all assessments and reports, including any necessary addendums.
• Complete required training and participate in ongoing education to stay updated with best practices.
• Work PRN (as needed), with options for half-day (4-hour) and full-day (8-hour) shifts.

Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Kentucky.
• Certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
• Experience in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or General Medicine preferred.
• Proficient in METs testing and assessing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
• Must have access to a laptop (non-Mac/Apple).
• Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in Kentucky.
• AANP certification required.
• Completion of DMA training for certification is mandatory.
