Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine, Kentucky
Join a dedicated team providing essential health evaluations for our nation's veterans. Located in the heart of Kentucky, this opportunity allows you to work closely with Veterans Evaluation Services, a respected government contractor specializing in Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-time, non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
- Perform primarily interview-based evaluations, with some physical assessments including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for all assessments and reports, including any necessary addendums.
- Complete required training and participate in ongoing education to stay updated with best practices.
- Work PRN (as needed), with options for half-day (4-hour) and full-day (8-hour) shifts.
Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Kentucky.
- Certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
- Experience in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or General Medicine preferred.
- Proficient in METs testing and assessing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Must have access to a laptop (non-Mac/Apple).
- Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in Kentucky.
- AANP certification required.
- Completion of DMA training for certification is mandatory.
