Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine in North Carolina
Join a dedicated team providing essential services to our nation s Veterans. This locum position is for General Medicine Providers to conduct Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. The work is primarily interview-based with a focus on maintaining the highest standards of care. This role allows for flexibility in hours, with opportunities to work either half days or full days, ensuring a balanced work-life while serving those who have served.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform one-time non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments.
- Conduct primarily interview-based evaluations with some physical assessments such as range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Complete required reports and any necessary addendums.
- Participate in ongoing credentialing and training sessions.
- Maintain accurate documentation and submit findings promptly.
Qualifications:
- Must have experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine.
- Proficient in METs testing and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Possess strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Must have an active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in North Carolina.
- Must own a laptop (non-Mac/Apple products).
Licensure and Certification Requirements:
- Active AANP certification required.
- Full, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in North Carolina.
- Willingness to complete DMA training to achieve DMA certification.
