Job Title: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine

Join a dedicated team supporting our nation's Veterans! We are seeking General Medicine Providers to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments in Maine. This position is with a leading government contractor committed to serving those who have served us.

Facility Overview: This opportunity allows you to work in your own office locations, with current openings in North Anson and Houlton, ME. This is a PRN position with flexible hours choose between half-days (4 hours) or full days (8 hours). You will be conducting primarily interview-based exams with some physical assessments.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Compensation and Pension exams and separation health assessments.
  • Perform interview-based evaluations with some physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
  • Document findings and submit reports, including any necessary addendums.
  • Participate in a seamless credentialing and onboarding process.
  • Engage in ongoing administrative tasks related to case documentation.
Qualifications:
  • Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Maine.
  • Certification by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
  • Proficiency in METs testing and experience evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
  • Ability to work autonomously in your own office environment.
  • Willingness to complete DMA training to obtain certification.
License and Certification Requirements:
  • Current Nurse Practitioner license in Maine.
  • Active AANP certification.
  • Must possess a laptop (non-Mac/Apple) for documentation purposes.
