Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner

Job Opportunity: Locum - Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine

Join a dedicated team of healthcare professionals serving our nation's veterans. This opportunity involves providing crucial Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments at various locations throughout Indiana. As a General Medicine Provider, you will play an integral role in ensuring our veterans receive the care and evaluations they need.We are currently seeking flexible and passionate Nurse Practitioners for the following responsibilities:

• Perform one-time non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments.
• Conduct primarily interview-based assessments with some physical evaluations, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Complete necessary documentation and reporting within designated shifts (4-hour or 8-hour days).
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality assessments.
• Participate in quick credentialing and onboarding processes.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
• Must own a laptop (no Mac or Apple products).
• Active and unrestricted full nurse practitioner's license in Indiana.
• Certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
• Experience in general medicine or compensation and pension assessments is preferred.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Indiana.
• AANP certification.
• Willingness to complete DMA training to become DMA certified.
