Job Opportunity: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine in Washington
Join a compassionate team dedicated to serving our nation's veterans in a prestigious facility focused on General Medicine. This dynamic practice is seeking Nurse Practitioners to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. The role offers flexibility, with options to work half days or full days, and no treatment is required.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
- Engage primarily in interview-based evaluations with minimal physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Submit reports on completed exams, including any necessary addendums.
- Provide assessments in your own office or at specified locations within the area.
- Complete mandatory training to become DMA certified.
- Participate in quick credentialing and onboarding processes.
Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Washington.
- Certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
- Proficiency in METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular health.
- Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine.
- Availability to work on a PRN basis with flexibility for both half-day (4-hours) and full-day (8-hours) shifts.
- Possession of a laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
License and Certification Requirements:
- Full and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Washington.
- Current AANP certification.
- Completion of DMA training and certification may be required.
