Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner

Job Title: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine (Nevada)

Join a dedicated team at a reputable facility providing essential services to our nation's Veterans. As a Nurse Practitioner in General Medicine, you will play a crucial role in conducting Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. Various locations are available across Nevada, including Pahrump, Gardnerville/Minden, and Ely.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-time non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments.
• Perform primarily interview-based evaluations, including physical assessments such as range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Work on a PRN basis, with options for half-day (4-hour) or full-day (8-hour) shifts.
• Submit detailed reports post-examination, including any necessary addendums.
• Participate in quick credentialing and onboarding processes.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in METs testing and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
• Must have a background in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine.
• Ability to work independently in your own office.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Nevada.
• Certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
• Willingness to complete DMA training to become DMA certified.
