Job Opportunity: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine in Alaska
Join a dedicated team focused on serving our nation's Veterans. We are seeking General Medicine Providers to conduct Compensation & Pension exams, as well as Separation Health Assessments. This role offers the chance to work on a PRN basis within your own office location, contributing to a vital mission in Veteran care.
Current Opportunities:
- Juneau or Sitka - Half-day per week needed (within 50-mile radius)
- Delta Junction - 2 days per week needed (within 75-mile radius)

Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
- Perform primarily interview-based assessments with some physical evaluations, such as range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Complete required reports and any addendums associated with the exams.
- Maintain accurate documentation and provide necessary administrative follow-ups.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular issues.
- Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine.
- Must own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
- Strong communication skills for conducting patient interviews.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active and unrestricted full license for the state of Alaska.
- Certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioner (AANP).
- Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.
