Job Title: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine
Join a dedicated team providing essential healthcare services to our nation's Veterans across Virginia. This role entails performing Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. As part of this locum opportunity, you'll have the flexibility to operate from your own office. Our practice focuses on delivering compassionate care without treating or prescribing medication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-time, non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments.
- Perform primarily interview-based assessments with necessary physical testing.
- Complete reports, including any addendums required after exams.
- Maintain communication with team members and provide follow-up documentation as needed.
- Utilize your expertise in evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in METs testing and general medicine.
- Previous experience in any of the following specialties: family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
- Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active and unrestricted full license in Virginia.
- Certification by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
- A laptop is required (no Mac/Apple products).
