Job Title: Locum Physician - General Medicine

Join our team and serve our nation's heroes! We are seeking General Medicine Providers for Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across Virginia. This dynamic position is perfect for those who are passionate about serving veterans while enjoying the flexibility of a locum position.

You will have the opportunity to work in various locations, providing essential evaluations and services to veterans. The practice operates on a PRN basis, which allows for a balanced work-life harmony.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform one-time non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments.
• Conduct comprehensive interviews and physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Document findings and submit reports, including any necessary addendums.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of compensation and pension evaluations.
• Coordinate with administrative staff for follow-up work as needed.

Qualifications:

• Must hold a valid and unrestricted medical license.
• Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine.
• Proficient in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
• Must have access to a laptop (non-Mac) for documentation and reporting.
• Willingness to complete DMA training to obtain DMA certification.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted medical license in Virginia.
• AANP certification preferred.
• DMA certification required upon completion of training.
