Job Opportunity: Locum - Physician - General Medicine

Join a dedicated healthcare team serving our nation's Veterans. We are looking for General Medicine Providers to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. This role can be fulfilled at your own office locations in Oregon, including The Dalles, Brookings, and Tillamook, with the flexibility to work on a PRN basis.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
• Perform primarily interview-based exams with some physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Complete administrative tasks such as submitting reports and addendums.
• Utilize your expertise in evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular functions.
• Participate in quick credentialing and onboarding processes.

Qualifications

• Background in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine.
• Proficient in METs testing related to cardiovascular and respiratory evaluations.
• Ability to perform exams primarily through user interviews and minimal physical assessment.
• Possess a laptop for documentation (no Mac/Apple products).
• Must be open to completing DMA training for certification.

License and Certification Requirements

• Active and unrestricted full license to practice medicine.
• Current home address for presentation purposes.
• AANP Certification preferred.
• Completion of DMA training may be required for certification.
