Job Opportunity: Locum Physician - General Medicine in Michigan

Join a dedicated team working with Veterans Evaluation Services (VES), a government contractor focused on aiding our nation's veterans. This thriving general medicine practice offers a variety of locations throughout Michigan for Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. With a commitment to excellence and an emphasis on support for veterans, this opportunity allows health professionals to make a meaningful impact.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
• Perform primarily interview-based exams, alongside some physical assessments including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• No prescribing or treatment is required.
• Complete administrative tasks associated with exams, including report submissions and addendums.
• Work on a PRN basis, with options for or full days.
• Maintain a client-centered approach, ensuring the needs of veterans are prioritized.

Qualifications:

• Specialties accepted: Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or any background in General Medicine.
• Proficient in evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions using METs testing.
• Must own a laptop (non-Mac/Apple products).
• Must have a current, active, and unrestricted Michigan medical license.
• Must be willing to complete DMA training for certification.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted full medical license in Michigan.
• Board certification or board eligibility is preferred.
