Job Opportunity: Locum Physician - General Medicine in New York

Join a dedicated team serving our nation's Veterans! We are seeking General Medicine Providers to conduct Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across New York. The positions are available in various locations, including Ithaca (1 day/week) and Trumansburg (3 days/week). This role is fundamentally about helping our Veterans, with a focus on assessment rather than treatment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams.
• Perform separation health assessments, primarily through interviews and physical evaluations.
• Utilize testing measures such as range of motion and muscle strength assessments.
• Complete necessary administrative work including reports and addendums.
• Work flexible shifts, with options for either half-day or full-day commitments.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in METs testing and evaluation for respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
• Previous experience in general medicine, family medicine, or internal medicine.
• Ownership of a laptop (Windows OS only).
• Must be willing to undergo DMA training to achieve certification.
• Current home address must be listed for presentation purposes.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted medical license.
• AANP certification preferred.
• DMA certification is required.
