Locum - Physician - General Medicine

Join our mission to support our nation's veterans! We are seeking General Medicine Providers to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments in Louisiana. This is an excellent opportunity for physicians looking to make a difference while working in their own office.

As a provider, you will perform essential assessments primarily through interviews, with some physical evaluations. The practice focuses on quality care without the need for prescribing or treatment, making it a unique and straightforward role for general medicine practitioners.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform one-time, non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
• Conduct primarily interview-based examinations with limited physical assessments such as range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Complete required documentation including reports and addendums.
• Attend ongoing training sessions to maintain certification.
• Engage with veterans while ensuring a compassionate and understanding approach.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or General Medicine.
• Proficient in METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular health.
• Possess a laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
• Current and unrestricted medical license in Louisiana.
• Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.
• Must have a private office location for examination purposes.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted medical license in Louisiana.
• AANP Certification.
• Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.
