Job Summary: Under general supervision, advanced skills gained through training and experience to provide individual and group therapeutic services for children, youth, families and adults with the end goal of improving mental health and well-being of individuals, families and the community at large. Follows established procedures to provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions at LAHC, school-based partner sites, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and other trusted community partners. Originality and ingenuity are required to identify, create and deliver appropriate mental health and wellness services. . Routine contact with internal team members, clients, parents, health care providers, and community resources is required to deliver high-quality services and meet goals and objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, evaluations, and diagnostic services of individuals' mental health needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Facilitate evidence-based individual and group therapy sessions tailored to the unique needs of clients across a broad age spectrum.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and interdisciplinary team members.
- Organize and facilitate therapy sessions, creating a supportive environment for participants to share experiences and learn coping strategies.
- Develop and conduct presentations and workshops for parents and community members on various mental health topics and effective parenting strategies.
- Advocate for clients' needs within the community and identify and connect clients with appropriate resources and support services.
- Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments as needed.
- Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development opportunities.
- Contribute to program development and evaluation efforts as needed.
- Collaborate with community partners, stakeholders, and other professionals to promote mental health awareness and access to services.
- Maintain accurate, timely and up-to-date clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and reports in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Ensure documentation and service delivery align with insurance billing guidelines, including Medicaid-eligible services and compliance with relevant reporting and coding requirements.
- Prepare reports on program outcomes, participant progress, and the effectiveness of interventions for internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain detailed and confidential records of client interactions and progress.
- Remains current in the latest research, trends, and best practices in the field of Psychology. Regularly participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Maintains regular and consistent attendance.
- Operates standard office equipment and uses required software applications.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
- Strong knowledge of Medicaid and commercial insurance billing requirements, including service eligibility, documentation standards and coding.
- Strong understanding of various therapeutic modalities and interventions for addressing mental health concerns.
Skill in:
- Facilitating both individual and group therapy using evidence-based approaches (e.g., CBT, DBT, TF-CBT)
- Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications, including Microsoft Office and Teams.
- Bilingual skills in Arabic or Spanish are highly desirable

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements:
- Minimum Degree Required: Doctorate Degree (PhD. Or PsyD)
- Required Disciplines: Psychology or a related field and minimum 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in community-based, school-based, or integrated care settings. Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Licenses/Certifications Required at Date of Hire: Licensed Psychologist in the State of Michigan
Working Conditions:
Hours: Normal business hours. Some additional hours may be required.
Travel Required: local travel only
